Electronic car key fobs are a cool…and a PITA. A key ring burdened with a wad of keys plus a couple of car fobs is an unsightly bulge in your pants pocket & that jumble crowds out everything in a women’s purse.
Here’s a quick idea to make living with multiple electronic key fobs bearable.
In our house we don’t have a “his car” and a “her car.” Instead, cars are driven based on the task at hand.
The Prius Prime is newer. It is the road car, the carpool car, the “nice” car.
The Prius Primitive is older & more worn, it’s the dog park car. It’s also the car with the trailer hitch for the bike carrier.
So carrying fobs for both cars is convenient, if not necessary.
A few weeks ago I bought a new Topeak multi-tool that came in a little ripstop nylon belt pouch with a Velcro closure.
My two key fobs snuggle right inside. Even if I don’t have my keys on me, I could still drive both the cars.
Just passing the idea on.
